The Hungry Sandwich Club - North Leeds Cycling Trail
The Brief
Leeds Indie food festival is a new city wide independent festival of food
and drink culture featuring over 100 business' and nearly 100 events
from 7-24 may 2015
During the festival, extended programmes are available to purchase.
This programme includes exclusive features, articles and trail maps.
Trails are made up of venues you have to visit in a certain order.
We want to give you the chance to design a map for the north leeds cycling
trail. At the end of the day send us your maps and we'll pick one
submission to be included in the LF15 extended programme. we'll include
your name and email alongside, so everyone know's who's done it.
we were then given some specific info that needs to be on the map alongside
layout etc.
to start on our idea we did crazy 8, we picked a word from the brief and
thought of 8 words we think when we hear the certain word we then
did 8 sketches all in 8 mins. we then shared our outcomes, we decided
we wanted to do something different and creative we looked at designers
such as; Henri Mattisse, Beth Walrond, Eiko Ojala,
Here are a few of our initial ideas and sketches from our crazy 8 inspiration
This is our final development and designs,
we used coloured paper to cut out cutlery and bike parts, we then
scanned them into the computer and compiled it with text etc.
