The library has beautiful architecture and has been around since
1884 although started in 1878 it is also a grade 2 listed building
within its own rights, the first thing you notice about the library
is the arches and mosaic flooring every corner you turn is filled
with pattern design and beauty.
When visiting the exhibition space which we would be using there
is a clear change of architecture and decor, it appears very modern
which is complete difference to the rest of the building almost like
a sore thumb, the space is all white which gives us plenty to work
with there is a strange corner in the room in which two stained
glassed windows remain it almost does not look in place but
it still gives a feeling of the buildings importance, when we visited
as a group there was a exhibition currently on "the calligraphy
guild" we felt the was it had been presented could of been improved
as all the frames where different. The placement is also rather
post modern although I have to say I really rather like the
layout on the large wall, now that we have visited we are considering
the space we have to use thoroughly we need to think of
placement and arrangement.
