- Futura is a geometric and versatile typeface which we though gave our designs a clean and elegant aesthetic, and and appearance of efficiency. Futura also made it easier to 'cover up' parts of the letters due to its geometric nature. -Karla is a clear, legible typeface which we used for the body copy, sans serif matching the modern theme throughout our branding. |

The colours we chose are bright and bold to make the simplistic design stand out. We restricted ourselves to 3 colours including stock, as our book covers were 3 colours including stock this kept a theme of consistency and link between the work exhibited. This kept the branding simple and memorable.

We wanted to show the literal side of covering up something, so we decided to use a sublet element that could be applied throughout the branding, this was through covering up parts of the letters, bout not not all of them to help keep legibility. This simple idea was inspired by the swiss designer Armin Hofmann, who in one of his posters covered up parts of the type. |

The posters would be A2 sized and placed around in leeds. They can also be placed inside the exhibition at leeds library. in A3 size. The stock would be water proof paper whilst outside, and matter on the inside. Simplistic, minimal doesn't distract the audience from the exhibit. suits an A4 portrait structure as thats what we worked within in the book cover brief. We included the relevant information that the public would need; location,1st and 2nd year students, time, date and the LCoA logo added at the bottom which we acquired from marketing. |

The invites are also consistent with the rest of the branding, creating a strong memorable identity, we wanted it to be minimal and straight to the point. It also has the relevant information that someone would need. The invites are A6 sized, and the same stock as the posters. They would be printed off on A3 to save money possible even A2 as we can fit then multiple invites on one sheet. |

We also created email invites these are the same as physical invites but they're personalised with the persons name at the top, this would save money and also spread easier and quicker. |

Flyers, these would be placed around uni in stations and shops such as colours may vary, village bookshop and other places round leeds, if possible we could ask the local newspapers to place our flyers inside. The flyers are just the poster designs scaled down to A5. |

We deicded to make a Facebook and twitter page, to storm accross social media, this is one of the best ways to advertise and spread the word about the event, as it can be shared and tweeted around the uk for free, and maybe catch the eye of leading designers, who would then turn up possibly to the event this would give us more social attributes and gain more exposure. |

For the event we have made a programme that people can read whilst walking round the exhibition. The can also take it home as memorabilia. This programme would contain the basic information about the exhibition, a map with directions to the space and a list of all the students involved , including their name and the name of the book cover re-design alongside e-mail for possible contact. The programme would be A4 spreads with A5 pages in a thin stock around 100gsm it would also be staple bound or possibly the use of elastic bands as it is a cheap and easy way of binding a book to be produced on a large scale. |

The colours of the name tags are different to the previous colour scheme, to avoid distraction from the work. The name tags would be placed onto the wall next to the students artwork, we have designed these in landscape because of the limited amour on wall space.The tags will contain the designer, author and student email incase people wish to contact the student. The tags would be mounted with wall adhesive foam board because it is efficient and cost effective it ale look clean too linking too our modernist branding. |

The presentation technique we would use to display the work would be using pins and bulldog clips to avoid damaging the space and the students work, this is a cheap and tidy way of mounting work. |

20 posters would amount to £30 160 invites would amount to £30 80 flyers would amount to £30 200 Name Tags would cost around £24 A2 poster £2.60 If you want to be more cost effective we can use cheaper stock or possibly even screen print to make a mass amount. For less. |
When presenting our final outcome it was noted that if our design
- was to be chosen the following things would need to be changed;
- The placing of the 2nd E in the poster as it doesn't flow as well as it could
- Adding leeds college of art the poster. As it is unclear
- The size of the type on the invites (in red) as it is too small
- And lastly the print method would need to be the cheapest possible so screen print.
