OUGD405 Brief 3 - Further Developments

Further Developments

I have decided to print off my book so far to make a final
decision on layout and colour. I am using a typeface similarly
used by train stations nation wide I am unsure of its official name
but it is very similar to Gills Sans. I would of used gills sans but
is unfortunately unavailable to me without purchasing.

Here is my re - defined mock up.

This is the front cover of my book in experimentation colours I have used the
orange and cream from the most recognisable tickets - The orange appears
lighter on print but this would be rectified if I was to use orange and cream
coloured stock. I prefer this combination to the other experimentations.

This similarly looks good together in orange and white because of its high
contrast to confirm which looks best I would like to try another mock of the
front cover in the actual stock I am to use when printed.

Feedback

I asked several peers to participate in a tally for me to get a response
of others opinions on my colour scheme.

Left Page
White = 1
Orange = 6

Right Page
Light cream = 4
White = 3

Conclusively the left page clearly unanimously is preferred orange
less so the right page a close draw between the white and cream
background.

To respond to this feedback I added colour to my mock up and digitally I am
updating the order and angle of my images to be straight and structured.
