OUGD405 Brief 3 Final/developments

Final/developments

These are images of my final/mock up, since doing my first
mock up I have added my information and images from brief 2
I have printed my design using the stock I wish to use for the
final printing (Orange card and Cartridge paper.) This was really
successful it is exactly as I had imagined it would be.

Design Decisions

I have chosen to use an orange card front and back cover to look
similar to an actual ticket and cartridge for the main body this being
also relevant to the aesthetics of a train ticket.

Although I have designed my book with colour images I feel because
a ticket is black and white it makes sense for me to use this as a rule
and will then over all have a successful ticket feel.

For me to do my front cover I have had to align my text correctly
and precisely so that it would work successfully while practicing
the alignment I have struggled with keeping a gap away from the text
between the pages there is a fine line which is visible to see the
break in the text to try get rid of this I have overset the text slightly on the
front cover so I can make a precision cut. To make my front cover a
half page Im using a scalpel and ruler if I had an induction with laser
cutter this could of been a possibility.

Problems

On the top 10 train journeys the last numbered point is not there
I have accidentally deleted this I have added this back in to
correct this.

I think because I have used bleeds and margins I haven't had much
problem with my publication. overall my book is successful in my
opinion it flows well and is consistent the information I have chosen
is interesting and entertaining.
