Initial Ideas - Part 2
From my mistakes I have decided to create a mind map helping me
direct what route I should take my work, I chose 2 main messages
I felt were relevant to my research and myself I chose Freedom of
speech and Trolling is bad out of the 2 contenders I chose freedom of
speech - My message is to convey that everyone deserves an opinion.
my research into twitter propaganda posters link to freedom of speech
but in a opposite direction (careless speech etc).
I started my initial ideas with type only I started with writing out
speech in the centre of my pages and applying asterisks * to where
a possible offensive opinionated word could be.. Im not sure if I can
use asterisks this will be something I find out in the interim crit on
monday. I also created at the twitter logo out of asterisks, to suggest
twitter hides what people actually want to say, Finally I looked in to
type that flows so ribbons are free flowing. I need to look at colour
to see how these would work with colour added.
I then looked into both image only and type and images. I latched
on to the idea of the term "See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil"
Instead of a detailed drawing I was thinking of using the emojis
preset on phones and computers due to trolling being internet and
computer based, I removed the hands covering the monkeys mouth
to show expression and the modernity of the future to speak your
mind.
I also looked at Rodchenkos design for type and image I don't know
what other ideas I can lead with for type and image I am hoping my
peers in mondays create will shine a light on some further ideas for
this poster.
