Once my poster ideas were well on the way the layout and design of my guide was fairly straight forward, I explored binds, and possible folds - I tried to chose the most efficient and cost effective fold. This is really important as the cheaper the leaflet is the more can be produced and distributed..
I want the design to be really easy and clean to read so that the information is the goal. To do this I have avoided illustrations and drawings from my design. This is not to say I have not experimented with line illustration in my publication see images.
here is a mock up of my design, to check this works I asked peers for feedback, although they liked the design they felt that the typesetting and layout needed to be improved inside. It was also mentioned that the name of the guide was not appropriate as this was the campaign name - I changed this it was between 'staying safe' and 'facing the facts' this was favoured most. And tallied up the message of guide.
Since the mock up I have worked on the layout and cover.
