OUGD405 Brief 2 Study task 1


 Study Task 1 - BURFLEX SCAFFOLDING

'To create a concept for Burflex which they could use for
advertisement, logos and flyers etc."

This is the original design for the logo and website.


When accessing this in our group we felt it was lacking - a poor
design the colours don't reflect their business, most people would
associate green with environment which is contradictory. 

while looking through their website we found out about their other
skills such as temporary roofs/stairs, railway projects and crowd control
barriers it appears as if they do not want to be just accosiated with 
scaffolding but their logo ties them down.

when accessing a concept we took all these factors into consideration
the most successful concept in the group was connections 
- Keeping Connections
- Restoring Connections
- Creating Connections
- Building Connections 

etc. there became a strong link between the branding and our concept
we decided to re-design the logo and apply this to some products 
we used our concept to make design decisions for example our logo
is blue and grey, Blue signifying to linked in, social media, clear and future, 
grey signifying the scaffolding itself.


We have chose to use the crossbars in letterforms to make a scaffold
connection, this directly links to connecting.
