Target Audience: Children

I started off by developing my most favoured idea "hexagon tessellation

with bees" 

I created a small tessellation with hexagons and used a mask to place a 

picture of honey into the shapes (via photoshop) this worked well but 

didn't just work on its own. I experimented with filling the hexagons 

with a variety of colours, to see which worked best.

(for the tessellation to work into the frames I used the sizes 8by6 

7by5 6by4 - e.g. 6 hexagons along, 4 down.)

I then used Illustrator to create my bees from scratch to do this I used

a variety of different shape tools alongside the curved line, pen tool 

and path finder, The bees are successful they appear friendly and 

harmless thus appealing to children.
