To create my colour scheme I used adobe colour picker app to do this
I watched some of the music videos from the current album and took
images at key stages in the videos this then created colour palettes.
The most common occurring theme where blues and earthy colours
with the occasional bright and poppy colour, I used this to create my
logo and colour scheme for my app and desktop design. I chose to use
a vibrant orange to represent positivity, life and modernity I also used
the navy to contrast making the text stand out, these colours were found
in the music video "Tompkins square park"
For the actual logo type I used the typeface Karla (Digitally usable) and
Baskerville Italic (Ampersand) I used a modern typeface because of the
change in style of music but still kept their routes by using the previous logo
ampersand. The positioning of my text is in a square to transform the logo into
iconography when having this on one line it looked very similar to the Marks
and Spencers logo. The abbreviation of the band will be reusable on designs
making the band logo recognisable on all merch and design.
