      This the original print from Warhol, and is very distinctive. Although there are many very similar 'appropriate' variations with extreme similarity such as Richard Pettibone and Elaine Sturtevant interpretations in my opinion these are blatant copies but re appropriated which is what Graphic Designers do so how can you appropriate something to become yours and yours only to subvert the original.

      
      

      

      
      

      

      
      

      When Looking at these adaptations it is almost impossible to tell wether or not it is Andy Warhols.

      
      

      There is clear issue surrounding these adaptations and even other adaptations such as 'Barber Kruger' and 'Selfridges'  I shop therefore I am. The idea of these adaptations are to take someone else's work and simply change something/s to make it yours. 

      
      

      The whole idea makes me question wether or not adaptation is ok and if it is art? the art was done before surely you can't reap the benefits? The re-contextulisation allows it to be ok but is it?

      
      

      From this session we were asked to create a college using newspapers that were already 'art' to create and change something to make it new. 

      
      

      I chose to base mine on sexualisation of women. Although this occurs in both genders I believe it isa subject which needs address it.

      All of my responses have a theme of sexualisation towards women my fave is the tinder collage, I have used Miley Cyrus' butt and some six pack man and placed them onto the brand new iPhone 6 with the tag line of swipe right.I feel this depicts the application and the sexualisation of both men and women on this platform. People are not objects!

      
      

      Reflecting on this task is odd because although i used someone else's images it is completely different to their representation so arguably it is subvert but appropriated properly.
